Current Legal Notices
On June 30, 2025, Governor Phil Murphy signed S-4654 into law, which amends the legal notice requirements under the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA). Beginning March 1, 2026, public entities must publish their legal notices on their website, rather than in newspapers. These legal notices may include but are not limited to: meeting announcements, ordinances, resolutions, requests for bids and proposals (RFPs/RFQs), Board of Adjustment and Planning Board matters, budget and audit notices, and other legal announcements as required by law.
Until March 1, 2026, public entities can comply with OPMA either by posting notices in a newspaper or on their website. Beginning March 1, 2026, the Riverside Township Board of Education will post all legal notices to this webpage.
Legal notices from the Riverside Township Board of Education and all New Jersey municipalities will also be available on New Jersey Secretary of State's Statewide Legal Notices Listings webpage beginning March 1, 2026.
