What is Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
Many factors contribute to mental health, including:
- Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry
- Life experiences, which include loss and trauma
- Family mental health history
Mental health needs are common and help is always available.
Where can I get support?
If you have a student in the school district, please contact your schools guidance counselor or child's case manager. These offices are always available to the community to share our expertise.
We have also partnered with CARESOLACE to connect our community with mental health services. Please see the CareSolace webpage tab for information.
