Lesson of the Week
Congratulations Mrs. Parsons!!!
Lights, camera… STOP, DROP, and ANIMATE! Mrs. Parsons’ Media Design & Journalism class is diving headfirst into the world of stop-motion animation, and the creativity is off the charts. Students are learning how tiny movements, one frame at a time, can bring big ideas to life—turning simple stick figures into full-on animated stars.
The challenge? An Evel Knievel scenario where their stick figure hero must survive a gauntlet of obstacles—think fiery canyons, daring jumps, and perfectly timed escapes. Students are carefully planning scenes, adjusting frames, and troubleshooting motion so their animations flow smoothly and tell a compelling story.
This project blends storytelling, design, technology, and patience—proof that learning can be both rigorous and ramtastically fun. We love seeing students problem-solve, collaborate, and push their creative limits while mastering real-world media skills. Bravo to Mrs. Parsons and our animators in the making!
